To support the launch of the Museum's portable computing exhibition, a series of talks were held during Autumn/Winter of 2004 with guest speakers and demonstrations from some of the leaders in the mobile data industry. The programme was as follows: "From organisers to powerful handheld computers and high end mobile phones" by Mark Hodgson, PalmOne. "The latest developments in 3G mobile networks that allow even more data to be downloaded on the move at high speeds" by Ian Bartlett, Motorola "The role of the mobile computer in work and play - then, now and the future" by Andrew Greenhalgh, Intel. |
