We've got some fantastic events happening in September.

'Scratch' Game Programming Demonstration
We're really excited about 'Scratch', a program developed by MIT for 8-16 year old to develop games and animations. We will be running workshops in October but anybody who would like to see what Scratch is all about and what you can do with it can come along and see it in action.
Tetris Challenge
Most of us have spent many hours playing this classic game, now you can prove to people it was time well by entering our Tetris Challenge competition. Compete on three version of Tetris to try and become the Museum of Computing Tetris Grand Master!

Have you ever wanted to spend the day with PAC-MAN, Lara Croft, Donkey Kong and Zelda? As part of its first birthday celebrations, the Museum of Computing in Swindon is holding a 'fancy dress gaming day' on Saturday 14th August.

Members of the public are invited to dress as their favourite games character to get free admission to the museum, a prize will be awarded for the best costume. There will be lots more happening including some 'old school' gaming, face painting and mask making. Those who aren't brave enough to dress up can still take advantage of the museum's recently reduced admission charges. The museum will be open from 09:30 to 17:00.

Pac-Man is 30!It hardly seems possible, but Pac-Man is 30 years old this month, and we plan to celebrate!

We'll be playing Pac-Man on the Big Screen at Wharf Green in Swindon town centre - you won't have seen him larger than this.

We'll also be playing Human Pac-man, complete with ghosts and pills. Can you control our pill munching hero and steer him through the maze to collect those pills, or will the ghosts win?

The only way to find out is to join us on the day.

We'll also have a Pac-Man exhibition and some classic Pac-Man gaming in the Museum, at Theatre Square, where you can see the many faces of Pac-Man through the ages.

Saturday 22 May from 11am to 4pm

Mark it in your diary now!

Which came first, the chicken or the egg? For us, it's the chicken, and on Easter
Saturday 4th April you can join us in our Easter Chick Hunt.

Yes, 10 chicks have invaded the museum, they're all here somewhere among our
displays, but can you find them all?

Call in to the museum on Saturday to take part in our Great Easter Chick Hunt.
